HealthiestYou
by Teladoc

HealthiestYou by Teladoc provides 24/7 virtual healthcare access to full-time employees and their families free of charge, covering non-emergency telemedicine, mental health counseling, physical therapy, dermatology, and more—all with no copay. Employees can consult with board-certified doctors via phone or app anytime, anywhere, and be prescribed non-pain relief medicines, making basic healthcare easy, convenient, and cost-free. The service does not include labs, prescribed pain relieve, or similar in-person care.

Low Cost Dental 

Full-time employees and their dependents can enroll in a low-cost dental plan through Ameritas, covering routine cleanings, exams, and other dental services at an affordable rate. We have Plan 5. Costs/Plan Benefits subject to change each year - attachment is from 2024.

Free Shift Meals

Employees working shifts at Cups Espresso & Cafes, Scoops & Bites, Harborside Markets, and The Bremerton Mercantile receive one free meal and one free drink per shift, with meals provided only from designated locations. Free meals must be consumed during shifts, rung up for tracking, and cannot be shared. *VMFH Gift Shop employees are currently not eligible for this benefit due to distance to our cafes.

Paid Time Off

Full-time employees who have worked 90+ days, and are in good standing can use their accrued Paid Sick Time as PTO for personal time off. PTO requests must be made in advance and are subject to business needs and approval.

Share your 20% employee discount with friends and family on select days throughout the year! These special discount days allow your loved ones to enjoy savings at participating Harris Family Companies locations while you’re present. Employee Assistance Program

GuidanceResources® by ComPsych offers confidential, 24/7 support services for full-time employees, including mental health counseling, financial and legal guidance, work-life balance resources, and crisis support—at no cost. Employees and their families can access licensed professionals via phone, online, or in-person, ensuring expert help whenever it's needed.

Low Cost Vision

Full-time employees and their dependents can also opt into a low-cost vision plan through Ameritas, providing coverage for eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses. We have Plan 8 and are part of the VSP network. Costs/Plan Benefits subject to change each year - attachment is from 2024.

Workers' Compensation + Return to Work Program

Our companies partner with the WA State Hospitality Association and L&I to support employees recovering from work-related injuries. This program provides free medical care, transitional job duties, and income stability to ensure a safe return to work. Employees must report injuries promptly and coordinate with their healthcare provider and Operations Leader during recovery.

Paid Sick Time

Employees begin accruing Paid Sick Time from their first day of work, earning 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Sick time can be used after 90 days of employment for illness, medical appointments, or caring for a sick family member. Employees must request sick time through the designated scheduling system, and any absences must comply with company policies.

As part of our commitment to employee benefits, we offer access to the Passport Unlimited Discount Program. This program provides exclusive discounts at a variety of local and national merchants, including retail stores, travel services, & more, both online and in town. To enroll, visit the Passport Unlimited registration page, click 'Register Here', enter your email, and use the activation code 'HOSPITALITY' to complete your membership setup.

SIMPLE IRA
Retirement Plan

An employee retirement plan with a 3% dollar-for-dollar employer match, available to employees earning at least $5,000 annually, with immediate vesting. The plan is administered through Defender Financial with Voya Select Advantage IRA, and employees can enroll or make changes during the open enrollment period from February 1 to November 30

Employee Discounts

All employees receive a 20% discount on items at Cups Espresso & Cafes, Harborside Markets, Scoops & Bites, The Bremerton Mercantile, and VMFH Hospital Gift Shops, with a $20 max discount per purchase at The Bremerton Mercantile and VMFH Gift Shops. Discounts apply to employees only, exclude promotional items, and cannot be used for alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets, or other age-restricted products.

Employer Paid Parking

We provide Company-paid parking at select locations where space is limited. Employees working in Bainbridge Island, and Bremerton (all shops),  have access to designated parking spots or shared garage passes, which must be checked in and out daily. Parking availability varies by location, with Poulsbo, Manchester, and most hospital locations receiving free parking. Seattle currently does not have free parking (there is a 2 year waitlist for spaces). Check with their Operations Leader for updates on parking policies at their location.

Employee Referral Bonus

Earn a $150 bonus for referring a new hire! If your referral joins our team and stays for 90 days in good standing, you’ll receive a $150 reward as a thank-you for helping us grow. There’s no limit to how many referrals you can make!

Prescription Discount App

Available to the general public, employees (and anyone) can save up to 80% on FDA-approved prescription medications, medical equipment, and select non-prescription injections through Optum Perks, a free discount program available to the public. Discounts apply at over 64,000 pharmacies nationwide, including Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, and Rite-Aid. Employees can access savings by using the Optum Perks card or mobile app, available for download on the App Store or Google Play.
